COOKIE POLICY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF KVKK (PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW)

AIF Information and Consulting Services Ltd. (“Company”) may place small data files that enable the collection and storage of specific data on users’ computers, mobile phones, tablets, or other devices when accessing the Company’s websites, electronic platforms, applications, or electronic email messages or advertisements sent by the Company. These data files placed on computers and other devices can be cookies, pixel tags, flash cookies, and web beacons, as well as similar other technologies for data storage purposes. The term “cookie” is used in this Policy to refer to cookies and similar technologies that the Company may use. While it is possible to collect personal data through cookies, not all data collected through cookies may qualify as personal data. Therefore, it should be considered that data obtained through cookies will be evaluated within the scope of this Policy and the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) only to the extent that they constitute personal data under Turkish law.

1- Types of Cookies:

Cookies can be classified by duration or by the domain to which they belong. When classified by duration, cookies are divided into session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies refer to cookies that are deleted when the user closes the browser, while persistent cookies are cookies that remain on the user’s computer/device for a predetermined period of time. When classified by the domain to which they belong, cookies placed by the visited domain are called first-party cookies, while cookies placed by a different domain visited are referred to as third-party cookies. If individuals other than the visited domain place cookies on the user’s device through the visited domain, third-party cookies are involved.

2- Purposes of Using Cookies:

The Company may use cookies for the purposes listed below on its websites, platforms, applications, advertisements, and messages:

The method of changing settings varies depending on the browser used, and the service provider associated with the used browser should be consulted to learn how cookies can be disabled. Disabling cookies may prevent users from benefiting from some features of the Company’s websites, applications, platforms, and services.

4- Authorized Service Providers:

The Company may seek assistance from certain authorized service providers for the execution and promotion of its websites, platforms, and applications, as well as its services. These service providers may also place cookies and similar technologies (third-party cookies) on users’ computers/devices and collect information such as IP addresses, unique identifiers, and device identifiers to identify user devices.

Company websites, platforms, and applications may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. These links are subject to the privacy policies of third parties and should be aware that third parties and third-party websites are independent of the Company and that the Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
